Training Log 3: Revelations
As we have more newcomers again, I will be holding another training session. It will be the same place as before- the part in Limbo. There will be refreshments as well, so even if you do not wish to spar please feel free to come and observe!
[It's that time again! Lion has his little (now a bit beat up since he keeps using the same space) claimed track of land in Limbo set up- wide spaces for people to pair off, a fold-out table with snacks and chairs for sitting and chatting. And of course himself off to the side with his lance in hand- willing to take all challengers and give tips and advice to anyone that comes to him!
He does though, go seeking someone specific out during all this: Chiron]
My friend, may I speak with you in private for a moment?
[There is no feeling of dread here that's just your imagination!]
((ooc: As usual this is a mixer post, so feel free to toss up starters as desired! I will have one for Lion as well if anyone wants to poke him in specific- but use this as a chance to show off- I mean try out new powers you've gained since last time!))

[regen or not, he'd rather not actually hurt someone, yanno]

Besides, it's always best to try things out in a controlled environment before applying them in the field.

[he'd at least turn off the fire, because good lord.]

[Secretly she's a little disappointed that he turned off the fire, but eh. She'll unlive.]
[Lifting her giant scissors and settling into a stance, she calls out:] I'm ready when you are!
no subject
[He's just gonna get right to it and come in with a clear-cut frontal assault and a low attack aimed at her legs.]
no subject
[As she does, the scissors dart forward, aiming to snap shut on the incoming blade and trap it.]

[She tightens her grip on her weapon, closes the scissors as tightly shut on Phoenix's blade as she can, and curls into a crouch- attempting to force Phoenix to just... carry her along for the ride as he flips over.]
[That, or foul his move entirely by making him haul along the dead weight of a whole-ass teenager. Although given how short she is, that's probably not a lot even with the extra pounds added by the giant pair of scissors.]
no subject
[Phoenix changed his mind very quickly when it was clear this was not going to go as planned; he let go of the sword for the moment, landing and striking back with a sudden unarmed kick instead.]
no subject
[The second she's back upright, she swings the scissors full force at Phoenix's side.]
[With his own sword still clenched firmly in the blades.]
[Because clearly what a pair of GIANT SCISSORS needed was EVEN MORE POINTY EDGES.]
no subject
[Needless to say that sounded less than ideal, Phoenix catching just a small scratch as he threw himself backwards out of range and tried to recalculate how the hell to get his sword back.]
Well, there's something to be said for the unexpected.
no subject
[She takes one stumbling step to the side from the momentum of her swing, then braces herself and charges head-on at Phoenix.]
[He is, it's pretty to see, her clear superior in terms of technique. Which is why, instead of trying to fight like a sane person, she's just cheerfully trying to smash things with no regard for self-preservation. An incredibly skilled fencer will beat a slightly less-skilled fencer, but a lunatic swinging around a machete is going to be an entirely different sort of problem.]
