cancry | Training Log 3: Revelations

As we have more newcomers again, I will be holding another training session. It will be the same place as before- the part in Limbo. There will be refreshments as well, so even if you do not wish to spar please feel free to come and observe!

[It's that time again! Lion has his little (now a bit beat up since he keeps using the same space) claimed track of land in Limbo set up- wide spaces for people to pair off, a fold-out table with snacks and chairs for sitting and chatting. And of course himself off to the side with his lance in hand- willing to take all challengers and give tips and advice to anyone that comes to him!

He does though, go seeking someone specific out during all this: Chiron]

My friend, may I speak with you in private for a moment?

[There is no feeling of dread here that's just your imagination!]

((ooc: As usual this is a mixer post, so feel free to toss up starters as desired! I will have one for Lion as well if anyone wants to poke him in specific- but use this as a chance to show off- I mean try out new powers you've gained since last time!))

[Or Wolfsbane just broke them all, given he's probably noticed her "ahahahAHAHAHA" and destroying a sign with her axe earlier. She looks over and raises her eyebrows.]

Oh, did we pick up another one? I do hope it wasn't out of the literal gutter this time.

[If there are not enough to go around, Lion is being cheap.

But Sword just gives the woman a Look.]

What.

That's where I saw the last one. Second, his name was? After he was ejected from every public establishment. I do hope you'll fare better.

Is that all you wanted to say? Don't you have more inanimate objects to destroy?

[Great start.]

[She doesn't get along with anybody, don't worry.]

Don't we all? This is training, I'm sure you haven't forgotten.

And yet you're the only person who's destroyed anything.

[A beat as he gives her another Look. The "Unlike you" is all but said.]

Excuse me? Are you saying I lack restraint?

[She marches up to get up in his face.]

It isn't as if we even need such a thing! On the battlefield, nothing's fair! It's all or nothing! We've already ended up dead once, learning that is the first step to making sure it won't get worse from there!

[And he just looks at her, unamused.]

On a battlefield, you're not alone. Your recklessness will put others in danger, and if you can't learn that you don't belong on the battlefield.

[There's just something about her complete lack of restraint that isn't sitting right with Sword.]

You'd be as much a danger to the rest as the enemy. Basic common sense.

I'm not going to drag the team down. If somebody gets in my way, that's on them.

Well, if you're as reckless in a real battle as you are now, then I guess you're right. Only an idiot would get near you, since they can't know you won't kill them.

Excuse me?

[She drops one hand from the weapon and moves to slap him.]

What gives you the right to tell me what to do? Over a stop sign?

[He dodges, though only just. She was a little obvious about her intentions.]

Having trained every day of my life? [Thank you, Rei, for that memoria.] Having common sense?

You don't think I haven't? I was working to become the greatest mage in the world! No... with that kind of power, the only mage in the world! That's not something you can stumble through!

If you used magic the way you use that axe, you would have killed any other mages.

Ugh. Whether I killed anyone or not, the Princeps Mage would take all the power sealed away, enough that anyone else couldn't even be called a mage in comparison. And besides, there's only one person I hated enough to kill. And it wasn't you, before you get a swelled head.

I'm pretty sure I'd've killed you before you killed me, anyway, the way you fight.

I am not some reckless idiot making a nuisance, and you don't get to tell me what to do! My plans have worked perfectly.

The only "chip" I have is the one over being interrupted by a rude, cranky, reckless little girl.
