Training Log 3: Revelations

As we have more newcomers again, I will be holding another training session. It will be the same place as before- the part in Limbo. There will be refreshments as well, so even if you do not wish to spar please feel free to come and observe!

[It's that time again! Lion has his little (now a bit beat up since he keeps using the same space) claimed track of land in Limbo set up- wide spaces for people to pair off, a fold-out table with snacks and chairs for sitting and chatting. And of course himself off to the side with his lance in hand- willing to take all challengers and give tips and advice to anyone that comes to him!

He does though, go seeking someone specific out during all this: Chiron]

My friend, may I speak with you in private for a moment?

[There is no feeling of dread here that's just your imagination!]

((ooc: As usual this is a mixer post, so feel free to toss up starters as desired! I will have one for Lion as well if anyone wants to poke him in specific- but use this as a chance to show off- I mean try out new powers you've gained since last time!))

[ Rei just... stares. She came over just to see how his training was going but... here he is, on a goddamn horse of all things. This may be literally the first time Rei has seen a horse in her entire (un)life. ]

Where... did you get a horse?

[ She hasn't figured it out yet. Bless. ]

Huh?

[Oh. Oh shit. Has Rei not seen his perfect girl? Ruin trots her over and hops down, stroking a hand down her nose as he goes.]

Oh she... I've always had her?

[ I neglected to make an Executor version of this icon but please rest assured that this is Rei's Actual Face right now. ]

[ Give her a moment while she mathlady.gifs over this. ]

H–how did you manage to find her here in Purgatory?

I didn't find her exactly? I think... sort of, she found me?

[As he speaks he banishes her with a gesture not unlike the one he uses to dismiss the Lance. And then a moment later he summons her back, turning from Rei for a moment to make kissy noises at his girl. Clearly being cute and dumb at her will make up for making her go.... wherever she goes when he dismisses her.]

Same as the Lance.

[ When he dismisses the horse, Rei's expression does something that can only be described as 'processing the five stages of grief' and only makes her way to 'acceptance' once she reappears. The relief on her face is almost funny. ]

S–so she's... a sort of familiar, then? That's useful to have around...

[Oh no, Rei, it's fine he's been dismissing and resummoning her all afternoon, trying to get the hang of mounting and dismounting mid-stride. She's fine!]

A familiar? I... don't know what that is, exactly but.....

[He grins, knowing the answer before he even asks.]

D'you wanna pet her?

[ I literally don't have an icon to convey the look of barely suppressed glee on Rei's face at the very idea of this. ]

C–can I...? Is that really okay?

[ She wants to pet her so bad. ]

Yeah! Of course it is.

[He just beams at her and then at the horse, moving to scritch just behind the swell of her jaw which makes her lean into it, head drooping and listing to one side for more. Which brings her down closer to Rei so she won't have so much trouble reaching her face.]

[ Looking torn between glee and expecting to be told it's all a prank bro, Rei hesitantly reaches up and begins to gently stroke her snout. Terrible as she is at keeping a poker face, the way her eyes sparkle the entire time ends up even more obvious the more she tries to restrain herself. ]

She's so warm... and her fur's so soft.

And just think... she's all dirty and sweaty right now like the rest of us.

[She'd be much softer if she was freshly bathed but-
