Everyone, I think it is time that we set our plans into motion. Please, gather at the Invidia mansion as soon as you are able.

[Though for how ominous that sounds, Lion himself isn't there? But there is a phone propped up on the table with a piece of paper under it: "turn me on~" If woken up, they will find that there's a facetime app running and Lion (and likely Ruin too) is on call. It's aimed at his shoulder rather than his face but he's trying!]

Ah- Sorry I can't join you all. Leaving this layer is a bit too much of a risk right now. But I believe last time we all gathered we largely agreed that attacking Greta's funds directly was our best course of action. Ruin has been working on earning a place at the- what was it called?

High Roller? Very Well. The High Roller tables- so if previous behavior is to be believed she should come to defend her title if he starts winning large amounts. I suggest we split into two teams- one team to cover and support Ruin as he does this. And one team to attack the bank. I... will not be able to join either side, as Greta may call me to her aid. So you may have to 'fight' me. If so, of course, I will throw any fight and look for a chance to aid you.

The question is this: who would like to do each role? We should likely nominate a leader for the bank team as well.

[ Mona doesn't particularly want to be the centre of attention, or to spearhead any plans when she doesn't consider herself all that bright or innovative. she especially doesn't want to propose anything that could go wrong and get everyone hurt. but there's been a lack of direction with her planning, and — well, she keeps thinking of Lupin. she doesn't remember everything they did together, but she thinks she has an idea of what he would do. ]

When we talked about the bank, we weren't really sure if we should do something at the vault itself or with the account administration that Monarch found...

Um... [ she takes a breath and seems to steel herself a bit: ] I think we should do both. If we go after the physical vault, we can cause some chaos as a distraction. And that way, a few people can sneak in and get access to the bank's systems.

As for the distraction, we could put out a heist notice early. My Executor weapon is still in a vault, so if we make that our first "successful" heist by having it disappear, it should be more of a threat when we announce we're going after Greta's vault. Then on the day of that heist, Ruin makes a scene at the casino — if we're right, Greta won't have a choice but to confront him, and everyone's attention will be divided.

I think... that's what a Phantom Thief would do.

I'll do it. [ Just so everyone knows. ] The time we've all spent preparing shouldn't be in vain.

It's possible.....it's also possible that Authority is transferred based on wealth. In that case, if we can raise our own while lowering hers....

Though that's conjecture.

So being the one who inspires everyone's greed should be the key to Authority, much like the last time.

Good. I suppose if we're invading them, there's less need to set traps around like last time, though there's nothing wrong with a straightforward approach, either.

We'll need to be aware there's many things we don't know, too. We still aren't sure what role, if any, "luck" plays in all of this....

You say it like it might not be normal luck. Something like an Executor power, for Authorities?

[ Authorities are what Executors could become. Monarch has learned that theory the hard way, so... ]

We can't rule it out.

That's true. Didn't Esme have special abilities? So we just need to learn what she can do.

Yes. I don't like the idea of stealing, but I think it's the best way to manage this. But, um... I also think we really need to make a show of it. I don't know if it's necessarily going to be enough just for us to take her money. She needs to really feel like she's lost to us.

I can help attack the actual vault. I have no idea what this "account administration" is, and I'm not working the casino.

If there's anyone that's really good at math or memorizing numbers I can teach you how to play black jack which will just be more funds building. The more I have to put down at a table the more uh.... intimidating I become~

Poker's a lot trickier and less sure fire and it's taken me weeks to get to the high roller's table. I dunno if it would really be feasible to get anyone else in at this point.

I'm good with memorization and numbers- you sort of have to be in medicine! [The difference between fifteen milligrams and fifty milligrams is, potentially, several years in jail for manslaughter. It's not the sort of thing you want to fuck up. Math doesn't come as easily to her as biology always has, but she's more than learned to be familiar with it by now.]

But, well... I'm not exactly very good with people, most of the time. [This is a plan that relies on unlife skills like "pretending to be normal" and "lying". She is not equipped for this.]

Thankfully, blackjack isn't you against other people, or at least, not in a way that requires bluffing. You can play it against the house just as well. It's--well, I'd say luck of the draw, but you can do the odds in your head, at least.

Yeah it's all just a matter of keeping track of what's come out of the deck and what hasn't, doing the odds in your head as you play. The better you are at quick math the easier it is to estimate what you're likely to get. And what your opponents are likely to do.

I dunno, though... you might be too young for them to let you play.

Hmm... well, they can't really prove I'm not an adult, can they? It's not like they've seen my medical records!

And I don't know exactly how old I am- judging by the proportions and bone structure, my guess is no older than seventeen and no younger than fourteen, but there's plenty of wiggle room in there! If I just make a very bad guess at how old I am, like twenty... that's not really lying, right? [She's wincing visibly at the thought of not giving a fully accurate report of her scientific observations of herself, but she soldiers on.] Sometimes people are wrong about things and that's not technically a lie. People can be wrong.
