With the dragon of greed thoroughly slain, the Executors are at last free to escape the sensory hell of the Avaritia Underside and descend to the next Layer. There's still sound and chatter, of course, but compared to where you've been spending all your time until now. Welcome to Superbia. And make yourself comfortable... because now that you've arrived, the stairs that guided you down here have disappeared and you won't be leaving any time soon. Feel free to use this arrival log to chronicle your initial misadventures in the Pride Layer of Purgatory. A lot of it is your typical "fuck authority figures, all my homies HATE authority figures" grousing you can expect from high schoolers but amidst all the grumbling, there's one or two salient points – the first is that she's apparently extremely strict and comes down on people like a ton of bricks for even the tiniest of infractions. The second is that she's known to be the no fun police and is extremely limiting of the kind of events they can put on at school – which really sucks given they, you know, live there!

The student council seems to have managed to convince her to at least let them have a summer festival this year, but word on the street is that getting permission for it was an uphill battle.

....Cue Monarch checking a student handbook to make sure that if he runs afoul of the principal, it will be on purpose. They are Undercover and he Must Not Screw This Up.

What about the student council's event? It seems odd she would permit that.

No one's really sure what's up with it! She's usually pretty resilient to student council shenanigans but apparently, the stuco president was just very determined and wore her down pretty bad. It helps that the stuco president is one of those straight-A ultra teacher's pet prep students so the principal didn't really have an excuse to turn the suggestion down.

Everyone seems pretty excited! It's been a hot minute since they had an event like this.

What kind of event is it, asks Monarch, knowing full well he probably either isn't going to understand the answer or it's going to give him a pit in his stomach. This is significant! What is this sense of foreboding?

Perhaps it's because he is onto something and not at all because he's super bad at large-scale gatherings due to how out of place he tends to feel. WHAT IF HE STANDS SOMEWHERE SOMEBODY ELSE NEEDS TO GO.

Just the summer school festival, seems to be the answer. So yes, a big, large-scale gathering that will probably have some of our Most Anxious Executors very out of their depth.

He probably will have something later but this is an awful lot to take in for starters! (Really he should ask a bunch of them for help with the homework, since he's a bright twelve-year-old but he's still a twelve-year-old in high school. But. Baby steps.)

He may return to this investigation method later, but for now he just wants to figure out how to be Fellow Kids.
