Okay fuck this, time for Sword to go check out the Principal's office.

The first thing he'll find is that the handle on the door is missing. It looks like someone with super strength might have just pulled it clean off, but surely that's ridiculous.

The Principal's office is empty, and seems as though it has been for a little while. Is there anything in particular Sword is looking for here?

But for real, he's going to start poking around for files and documents that could be relevant: enrollment records, maybe a note about where the principal has gone, any other signs of tampering.

He's also going shut the door and put something in front of it so no one can get in (but he can get out).

There's no enrollment records, but that doesn't seem to be anything suspicious – more of a byproduct of Purgatory Weirdness where lots of the small details of day to day life in each layer is sort of weird and vague. There are no signs of tampering (apart from the busted-ass door), but it does seem like the principal has been gone for a hot minute.

As for files and documents that are relevant to their needs, he'll find several stacks of documentation for events dating later in the 'year' such as summer breaks, sports tournaments, that sort of thing, and the graduation ceremony, but there isn't anything else immediately apparently interesting.

I'm assuming there's an apparent "season" in this layer--do those documents about events mention anything supposedly coming up soon?

It's summer in Superbia, as far as you can tell.

The closest thing to an event coming soon is some mentions of the school's three-week break for summer coming up, but that won't be for another two months.

Right. Well, Sword feels like this was a waste, but he's going to give the room one last look to make sure he didn't miss a closet or a door to another room, like the secretary's office or something.

No other doors or any apparent hidden spaces! It Is Literally Just An Office.

He has at least established that the damage done to the door last loop has persisted into this one, even if there was no new information here in the paperwork.
