With the dragon of greed thoroughly slain, the Executors are at last free to escape the sensory hell of the Avaritia Underside and descend to the next Layer. There's still sound and chatter, of course, but compared to where you've been spending all your time until now. Welcome to Superbia. And make yourself comfortable... because now that you've arrived, the stairs that guided you down here have disappeared and you won't be leaving any time soon. Feel free to use this arrival log to chronicle your initial misadventures in the Pride Layer of Purgatory. Mmhm. I discovered the lad had awakened a while ago, though didn't have a chance to introduce him to everyone yet.

He's a good kid. [ Not a "seems like", he just already knows he is. ] Very eager to help.

Doesn't feel right. Amber might not remember much about himself other than "alchemist", but he does get one very strong feeling.

No one has ever called him a "good" kid. "Smart" or "hyper" or even "destructive". But never...

His brows furrow as he sinks into his desk a little more, but he doesn't say anything. He'll just sort of weakly smile if Chiron looks his way.]

[Absolutely Chiron is going to look back his way! And in fact come over to introduce himself. He doesn't offer a hand, but his face seems relatively clear of...infectious qualities today and as such does not have sunglasses or a mask on currently. It's Just Chiron, pleased as punch to meet someone new.]

Delighted to make your acquaintance, Amber. You may call me Chiron. [At least for now. He is still...kind of considering a change but Hoo Boy it's on the backburner now!] Our numbers tend to...fluctuate sometimes, so it's always good to get someone else on board. You've been here in this school this whole time, that you're aware of?

And uh, yeah...I sort of just woke up here. Don't know how long it's been, really, but...when I started going to the school is about when you guys first came here.

[At least before things started over again.]

Time does work oddly around here. ...I mean in this afterlife as a whole. At least this level has a day-night cycle, for whatever it's worth! [Not a whole lot to him, personally, but hey.]

Normally we would have access to previous levels, up a set of stairs, but we're rather locked in here at the moment. That's never happened before. Still, I'm sure if you want to participate in any kind of training for whatever abilities you might spontaneously obtain, there are places to safely do so and people to do it with.

[There are good reasons Chiron should stop being the one to try and introduce people to the world of Executors and this is most of them. It just sounds. not great. coming out of his mouth.]

Yeah, that's what Achilles mentioned. Guess it'd just be my luck I'd come around when you guys are stuck.

[Not that that affects him a whole lot right now. Can't miss what you didn't have.]

I don't know what kind of powers I have yet, if any. I'm honestly still not...really sure how I'm going to go about figuring that out? I mean- I work with science, not...magic, or special powers or anything like that.

It tends to happen when you least expect it. At some point, you should be able to switch forms, to appear truly as an Executor, and with it, some inherent knowledge of things you can do. But it varies from person to person, and you can still use your abilities, whatever they may be, anytime you wish. I've not terribly much for fighting save my [really tremendously stupidly long] weapon, but I've other useful skills that come in handy.

You'll come into it all on your own. It's a lot. But at least you're with the lot of us now.

[He wonders what that means for him. He's an average enough kid already, so what could being an Executor make him seem like, he wonders?]

Maybe I can watch you guys sometime, then. I bet that would probably help a lot.

Perhaps we should set something up! Before coming to this school, we'd all discussed the idea of taking time to train together, to see whose powers work better with one another. Perhaps out on the field, hm...

You know, that probably isn't a bad idea. Kindof like a, uh...power workshop or something, yeah?

[Training, but also a chance for the more veteran Executors to show off their skills so Amber feels a bit less like he has no idea what on earth is going on.]
