Monarch takes the seat Etoile had saved for him; a glance at her, especially compared to the other student council members (and their President), has him suspecting they'll both have things to tell each other after the meeting. Will she understand why he'd wanted her to come along, as well....? She already covered for him. So it's not certain, but it's possible.

"I really - do want to help organize," Monarch finishes, once he's got himself something close to calm. "Schedules, or paperwork. If possible."

He doesn't help himself to snacks, but it's not meant to be rude. He just isn't hungry. Seeing the stark difference between normal Specters and the President has him on edge. There really is something unusual about her.

"Hi, I'm Etoile. Just tea for me, thanks," Etoile answers. She'll take the time to tell Monarch that she's fully awake and on their team once the meeting was over, but that's for a little later.

"And I was wondering, do you need a club liaison? If so, I'd be happy to help. Chase down paperwork, make sure everyone's where they need to be that day, all that?"

Miss President clasps her hands in delight.

"Oh, a club liaison would be perfect! We've been doing our best to handle it, but I think people get a bit intimidated if a member of the student council comes along to ask them things... especially if it's me!"

She titters a little nervously but then takes a seat down at the head of the table with her own tea and snacks. The K-ON! energy is pretty real.

"Apart from that, is there anything you'd really like to see at the festival? We're trying to make sure it's something that everybody can really look forward to!"

Look forward to....

No. He can't prove anything just from idle wording. But it sticks in Monarch's head anyway. Is there significance....? How can he find out? How did he manage this in Avaritia? He's going to get the whole team exposed - if she doesn't already know about them to begin with - and it's going to be his fault -

- Except if he gives up here, he'll never find out what happened to Wormmon. Wormmon, who believes in him. Is that something that matters to him now? Learning how he died, so he knows whether Wormmon is still alive...?

Yes. Because...because if Wormmon is here, too, Monarch has to find him before moving on. He will always find Wormmon. So he can't be intimidated or overwhelmed now, no matter how emotional he is!

"I'm sorry to ask such a basic question," he prefaces. "But can you tell me specifics about what's already planned? I don't want to overlap."

While Miss President is talking, Etoile scribbles a note, and she accidentally-on-purpose taps Monarch on the shoulder to get his attention, holding her notebook where he can see it.

Medic and Rei gave me the rundown of the situation, and I’m on the team. You and I can talk after we’re done in the meeting. It’s the least I can do after you heard me out yesterday.

“I should have asked that before. I think I got a bit ahead of myself, though I’m still happy to be your club liaison. Do you have a rough idea of how many students are planning things for the festival?”

"Don't apologize! Those are really good questions to be asking!" She's just radiating sunny energy at both of them... by all appearances, she really does seem to be sincerely pleased to have them helping out. "Let me just get the schedule for you... Um, could I have the..."

She turns to one of the student council members at the table and they confer and go through some papers for a moment before Miss President presents something to Monarch and Etoile with a florish.

"Here you go! It's our preliminary schedule, so some things might change between now and Tuesday... but since everyone here lives on campus at school, I think we'll get a really good turnout!"

The schedule she's handed them is absolutely packed. All the clubs have some sort of stand and every single class also has something they're arranging for the festival. There's food and live music and basically, it's exactly what a high schooler would dream about doing for their school festival. It looks fun!

Fun and overwhelming. What has Monarch done? What has he gotten himself int---

Wait. Tuesday. If this timeloop lasts the same amount of time as the previous one, then...He was right. The festival is suspicious. It's something to "look forward to", but that never comes.

Monarch looks over at Etoile to see if she's noticed that discrepancy - is this something Medic-san and Rei-san have alerted her to, as well? - but then realizes Miss President will expect him to say something. He clears his throat.

"Everyone's involved," he observes; no, that's awful, think of something else, something he wants to know....without overreaching...!! "I'm glad you got approval."

Etoile nods, catching Monarch’s eye. She’s still learning the ropes, but she can tell something is off about Miss President. There’s something that’s too focused on making things perfect; it’s as if she’s afraid of letting someone down. She scribbles that down in her notes, then starts to look over the event schedule. Etoile runs her finger down the page as she scans it, humming an idle note as she does.

“You weren’t kidding when you said there was a lot to do between now and Tuesday,” she comments, with a little smile. “I think we can handle it, but I had one more question. How many of us will be touching base with the club presidents on the day of the festival?”

"Between you two, me and one of the other volunteers, that makes four of us!"

Said volunteer, an unassuming looking Specter in glasses, dips their head in a little nod. With the amount of clubs to manage on the day, four people could probably get it down pat, but the two people prior to Monarch and Etoile's arrival? Probably not.

"Are there any clubs in particular you'd prefer to work with?"

Monarch's mind blanks. He's overloaded with trying not to seem suspicious, trying not to just blurt the questions he wants to know, still needing time to process all his feelings about Wormmon - and there's so many clubs - what would be the most practical - what would help the Executors most - he has to help - he has to....

"....Um......"

He's so sorry, Etoile, or he would be if he had the brain space. Especially since you've only just become an Executor and he needs to set a good example. But Monarch needs to reboot, this is one detail too many for his detail-obsessed brain. Save him.

“I’ll let him think for a few minutes, but I’m happy to work with the music and theatre clubs,” Etoile answers. “Like I said before, the allergies are really bad this year. Sinus headaches make it hard to think, you know?”

She’s hoping her sincere expression will be enough to cover for Monarch. She’ll definitely have to talk to him once they’re all done.

“It looks like things are shaping up really well,” she comments, looking over the schedule. “I’m sure things will go well on the day.”
