[ The 7th day comes to pass and despite knowing that things are different now, Achilles still braces for the worst - only when time doesn't reset does he finally feel like he can breathe again. Like the final confirmation that the loops are indeed over.

Though it's what he sees in the coming days as they prepare for the Underside that really excites him, to the point that he messages the group chat about it. ]

Well, well. So is this the highly anticipated "school festival" I've heard all the students speak so highly of?

[ Indeed as Achilles says, the school festival has finally come. It is the most extravagant, anime-ass Japanese school festival you can imagine, with various student run stands outside full of food and even more things going on inside... and the entirety of the student council running around like chickens with their heads cut off trying to keep everything running smoothly.

This, even more so than the passing of Authority and the lack of time resets, puts him at ease. ]

I know we still have much preparation to do but I think after all of this a little bit of fun and relaxation might be good for us.

Of course if all the hustle and bustle gets to be too much for anyone you're more than welcome to make use of my office or faculty dorm, should you have difficulty finding an empty room.

[ Not that he'll be in either much, he's also in a mood to check out the food festival. But hey you don't need him to be present to chill in there.

You've done good work Executors. Enjoy this respite before the battle ahead. ]

And they haven't got a cohesive story, either. The last section looked like a 1950s laundry room, now they've got skeletons everywhere --

[One of the gym mats making a wall slides back and a "ghost" flies out on a string. ...It's just a balloon for a head tied onto one of the Superbia school shirts. Wolfsbane watches it pass by them and crash into the other side.]

[Genius actually laughs a bit at the extremely obviously fake ghost.] Right! That laundry room was the perfect opportunity to offer some kind of backstory about what all those skeletons were doing here, and they missed it!

Is this something you particularly like, then? Haunted houses and such.

Huh? I...no, I don't think so? [Her one current memory isn't very helpful here.] I just have some...weird feeling of how they could do better, you know?

That's not a weird feeling, anyone with half a functioning brain cell could tell they could do better. Phantom memories or not.

Huh, I do suppose it makes sense that Spectres would have inhibited brain functions of some sort. They've got a giant blind spot about the entire nature of this place, after all.

It still isn't an excuse. They live normally, they just can't tell they're dead or any of the truth of this.

Well, as normally as you can get with all those time loops...though I guess that part's done with now.

I do wonder what'll happen to them now. Do they simply move on to the next layer when they graduate? That wouldn't seem to gel with moving past one's sin.

Maybe there's some extra secret to graduating that means they have to let go of their pride before they can, otherwise they just get held back normally...or, well kind of normally.

[Finally, they're leaving this really bad haunted house.] Orrrrr...maybe building a terribly designed stall like this is meant to show humility. [Though she says that with obvious sarcasm.]

Oh, don't give them the credit. Well, we'll have to leave them to it in any event. As long as we clear the way, they can pass.

Yeah...though it's too bad they probably won't remember that we helped them out with that.

It isn't as if I care what the unawakened rabble thinks, anyway. Our affairs are our own.

Of course, but admiration from the other Executors is more important, don't you say? They're the ones with brains in their heads.
