PROCEEDING...

With the real super power of teamwork, the Executors have successfully managed to make their way through the Gula Underside and defeat the previous Authority there. With Gerda now freed from her past regrets and given the power of an Executor, Gula and its inhabitants seem to be in safe hands... for now at least. More interesting – or concerning, perhaps – is the tentative ally you've gained in the form of Birdie, the mysterious girl who attacked some of your number in the Superbia Underside. While she seemed to be nothing but an enemy back then, a surprising connection has been formed with who you now understand to be the Authority of Purgatory itself. While she doesn't necessarily believe the Executors will be able to repair Purgatory, she is at least willing to admit that she shares their goals of wanting to see Purgatory restored... either to its former state, or to something new. But what does that mean for the Executors? And what does that mean for Rei supposedly born from the Authority's discarded heart? There are still many questions the Executors need to answer and as a blast of dry, hot air blows up from the next layer, you can only hope that Luxuria holds the key to at least some of them...

LUXURIA

♪♫ Wet & Dry – Sakuzyo After the humidity and noise of the Gula Underside, passing down to the Lust Layer of Purgatory initially seems like a relief. The air here is dry and sharp and though you hear noise drifting up to meet you and see a whole rainbow of lights clustered together in the dark, it doesn't seem as though it'll be quite as overwhelming as some of the bustling Layers you've had the pleasure of exploring before. But as you set foot down into Luxuria and feel the heat of the ground under your feet, you begin to wonder if you might just have hopped out of the frying pan and into the fire...

Everyone please keep an eye out for a girl named Lana.
I think she might be our Authority, or at least someone important who could help us find them.
She seems to have disappeared recently... But she was looking for new thrills. A Specter told me she had gotten bored of this place.

True enough that they did, but none we have come across have been. 🤷 In fact, they all have the appearance of young women.🤔🤔 [yes we know it's because jrpg rules and the idea of claire playing a man is anathema to the existence of our beloved unicorn BUT] It's sad actually.😿😿😿 That those who look so young (relatively) harbor these feelings 🥺 so strongly as to become these typically twisted forms👹 that need fighting.🗡️🗡️

She'd written her name a lot on the top of a Ferris wheel car, that's all.
It stood out, so I asked if anyone knew "my friend" Lana... I just thought that if she's a significant person, then there's a chance she's the authority.

And I did wonder if she made it to the Underside.
Maybe that's even what the "extreme rides" are? That might be how we find our way down.

i found a patient log in the first aid tent!
the name lana did show up in it A LOT
it seemed like she really enjoyed climbing to high places??

in the last entry it said that she fell all the way from the top of the pollux coaster!
but when she landed she wasn't hurt at all.....

you would suffer severe and possibly fatal injuries! ^-^

executors are more physically durable than baseline humans or specters

but a fall of that height would still break the majority of your bones if you didn't reduce your momentum somehow

and a specter would definitely die! :D

so far the evidence suggests that authorities can't really be physically injured until someone is actively challenging their position
so she could definitely be the authority for this layer!
or at least she was at the time.....

I'm worried we're going to have to do something very stupid to get access to the VIP rides, considering what Lana did.
