Invidia Arrival Log
 With the Executors now victorious over the first layer of Purgatory, the only way for them to go is further down. Thanks to the combined efforts of Kingslayer, Ariel and Mona, a path forward has been opened that leads down to the next layer of Purgatory. Rei looks ill at ease about this. If asked, she'll brush off the concern a bit, explaining that she's never gone this far down into Purgatory before and she doesn't know what lays ahead. It might be even more dangerous than the Underside. She's just glad they're all heading down together. So, once everyone's collected themselves... head down they to to the next layer of Purgatory... Welcome to Invidia. Congratulations on unlocking your first major location change in Can Cry! Feel free to use this arrival log to chronicle your initial misadventures in the city of Invidia. [ though Phoenix can't see her smile for what would be the first time in his company, he can certainly hear more warmth in her voice than ever before. it is still soft, and steady, but something has undoubtedly changed. ]
I remembered how fun it is to learn.
[ it is not just that, and that may be obvious even with Phoenix and Mona not having spent a great deal of time together. she was different just a day previous, and it was too consistent to be simply a mood. her personality itself has not changed, but it has — expanded, perhaps. ]

Well, that depends on what we want. General staples would involve things like eggs, milk, bread, rice, vegetables--essentially ordinary food over our usual collection of snacks.

I think Saint-Germain and I used to go shopping, maybe... so when I get there I might remember.

she does return, though, a bit over an hour later, heralded by the rustling plastic of somebody carrying too many groceries. she hauls several bags into the apartment she left Phoenix in, definitely not just the essentials. ]
I'm back... I had to go back to Limbo and get some things to trade.
[ if he starts going through the bags, Phoenix will find that the things he specified as staples are in there. there are also many things that are... not staples. even without eyesight, there are unusual shapes — strange fruits, especially — and items he'll be able to easily identify by smell — a frankly bizarre range of spices and condiments, selected at random by someone who has never seen a recipe in her life, as far as she can remember right now. ]
