cancry | Training Log 3: Revelations

As we have more newcomers again, I will be holding another training session. It will be the same place as before- the part in Limbo. There will be refreshments as well, so even if you do not wish to spar please feel free to come and observe!

[It's that time again! Lion has his little (now a bit beat up since he keeps using the same space) claimed track of land in Limbo set up- wide spaces for people to pair off, a fold-out table with snacks and chairs for sitting and chatting. And of course himself off to the side with his lance in hand- willing to take all challengers and give tips and advice to anyone that comes to him!

He does though, go seeking someone specific out during all this: Chiron]

My friend, may I speak with you in private for a moment?

[There is no feeling of dread here that's just your imagination!]

((ooc: As usual this is a mixer post, so feel free to toss up starters as desired! I will have one for Lion as well if anyone wants to poke him in specific- but use this as a chance to show off- I mean try out new powers you've gained since last time!))

What's got you so distracted?

[ Monarch is ashamed of his behavior and doesn't want to own it. He looks away.

But then he gets ashamed of that, so he takes a deep breath and looks back over at her. ]

Something - personal. I'm here to work through it. We're closer to finding the Authority.

Well, then, as long as you see to it. So you don't know how to get to them yet?

[ Monarch shakes his head. ]

The bank moves money so that one account always has the most. But their name's confidential.

So they're taking security precautions. I wonder, were they just afraid of being bumped off?

Possibly. In any case, there must be a way to find them.

[ "Just sit around and wait for the bad guy to show up" is Monarch's default setting. It is failing him here.

What to do. ]

They might come in physically. After all, internet here is limited.

[ Monarch shakes his head. ] They don't withdraw money. Though...

[ A THOUGHT. ]

They're particular about their account. I could try altering it.

To draw them out? It's a better idea than doing nothing, if you won't get yourself caught.

[ He looks away. See, that's the thing.

He doesn't see a way around this that he doesn't get caught. ]

Out with it. If you don't have a good enough plan, we'll work on one. That's why we've got so many people.

[And that feels strange to say, but she shakes her head. They're supposed to be working together. Not throwing out the useless. Not here.]

[ For saying a plan where he gets caught isn't "good enough". For valuing him like that. ]

I won't let our access go to waste.

I trust you won't. Besides, with all these people of interest we've heard about, one of them has got to be the one.

That's right.

[ Monarch smiles. He's been too uptight again. They're in a good position!

...His eyes fall to Wolfsbane's hands, looking for the tools of her Executor trade. He knows so little about her, and she keeps surprising him. He wants to know more. ]

...what's your weapon?

Observe.

[She summons a sharp-pointed halberd (scaled down to human size, of course).]

It might have been something I used when I was alive, but unfortunately, I haven't got enough memories to tell. I know I would have piloted an ARMANOX, but nothing about its weapons.

[ Monarch studies the halberd, considering it. ]

ARMANOX....?

[ Nope. Drawing a blank. ]

A large magical construct one pilots. No matter. It's tied to a competition I was in, so it's nothing to do with what we're doing here.

[ He nods. ] It's possible.

[ What does that mean about him and his whip.....? Maybe nothing. It's all conjecture. ]

In any case, we can say this. We have these weapons for a reason.

So you think they all reflect us, then? Or just that we're all supposed to be varied so we'll work as a complete unit?

Both are possible. Does anyone else remember a version of their weapon?

I know Phoenix does, at least. I'd bet on Sword, too, but the man's too insufferable to ask.

.....Ah.

[ Monarch has not met Sword. But he thinks he can suppose what Sword's weapon is. ]

That's enough to stop looking like coincidence. I don't -

[ He looks at his whip. ]

It might come. Even if I must say it doesn't seem to fit you much.

You don't think so, either....

[ He blinks beneath his mask. ]

Have you seen yourself? Normally, not in your Executor outfit. How you act.
