Superbia Intro Log
![]() With the dragon of greed thoroughly slain, the Executors are at last free to escape the sensory hell of the Avaritia Underside and descend to the next Layer. There's still sound and chatter, of course, but compared to where you've been spending all your time until now. Welcome to Superbia. And make yourself comfortable... because now that you've arrived, the stairs that guided you down here have disappeared and you won't be leaving any time soon. Feel free to use this arrival log to chronicle your initial misadventures in the Pride Layer of Purgatory. As noted in the location page, several locations will require further investigation if you'd like to get some information on them, so get investigating! Drop a comment down to the Investigation Request subheader if you'd like to explore. Get out there and have fun! | |

[This place was so familar that his heart ached- he didn't remember everything that happened at Garreg Mach, but he remembered enough. Regardless of that memory though he was certainly not prepared to try and teach- his skill set would certainly not be appreciated in a school like this. They didn't even HAVE a combat class. But with any place like this there was always work to do, so he grabbed a uniform from a utility closet and just set to work cleaning. The buildings and the ground alike. He's easy enough to find if you looks around, either sweeping and mopping the inside or working on picking up trash and weeding the paths outside.
It's funny, when you look like you belong to a place and walk in with one of those cleaning carts... no one seems to notice you. So he goes out of his way to walk into club rooms and teacher's only areas when people are around to empty the trash or sweep up, seeing what he can listen in on]
[Library (Closed to Ruin) ]
[It didn't take long to find out where Ruin was working, so when he has a spare moment he peeks in, trying to catch him unawares, some food from the school store behind his back]
Grounds
Gods, he can't believe any of this is happening. He just wants to go to bed. Maybe then he'll wake up finding out this was all a bad dream.
But since Lion is making it a point to evesdrop, he'll definitely hear the kid mutter to himself as he passes.]
--f we're stuck here, what are we even supposed to do the whole time? Blend in, I get it, but for how long? Ugh...
no subject
He does neither. He reaches out as Amber passes and scruffs him as easily as a kitten.]

Amber squawks when he feels the back of his uniform grabbed up, and before he knows it he's briefly walking on air as Lion pulls him abruptly back from the direction he'd been previously walking. Turns out, Lion is hard to miss, so it's not like Amber has to look around far to see who's grabbed him.]
W-what- hey! What do you think you're-?!
[Shit, what does he do? This guy is part of the faculty, right? So he's a Specter? And even if he tried to tell him what's going on, he wouldn't understand. But that doesn't mean he's any more prepared to deal with, uh.
This...]

[He's supporting all of Amber's weight so easily it's... well not comfortable, but not painful even with his feet completely off the ground]
no subject
[Oh. He heard that.]
S...so what if I did? I'm a new student, so- of course I'd want to blend in.

Have you met a young girl close to your age recently? With white hair?
[ sus]
no subject
White hair?
He speaks before he can stop himself-]
Rei...?

[And as quick as the sus arrived it's gone, and he puts the boy down]
You are a new Executor?

The faculty members don't seem to mind though! They basically Do Not Perceive Him in that way people just look past customer service workers. Love to see it! Because of this, he gets to overhear some concerned mutterings from the staff that the principal seems to be holed up in her office and is being more ignorant than usual to attempts to communicate with her.

Mysteriously, they don't work on this door.
no subject
Then he will just try and twist the handle. Hard.
no subject
The door's a bit jammed even with the handle removed but... that probably won't be a problem for Lion, right?

Hey~ What're you doing down here, hmm?

[He eyes the glasses, pleased]
You look quite respectable.
no subject
[There's something strained in his smile at that comment, shrugging a little, playing it off as nothing as best he can. Who'd expect him to look respectable, right? Hah.]
Lunch? Y'know... there's no food allowed in the library.
[The willpower required not to make a joke about Lion being a snack is immense. Appreciate his self-restraint.]
no subject
[He pauses, then blushes]
Ah, I did not even consider... are you free to eat? The weather outside is lovely.

[He just tucks an incredibly generic scholastic bookmark into the book he's had open, sliding it behind his keyboard and closing out of the program on the computer. He knows enough about students not to let anyone have a chance to snoop. Especially since they have no idea who the authority is yet.]
C'mon, there's a door back this way...
[He takes Lion's hand, guiding him around the counter and through the copy room to a back door... one that Ruin's absolutely seen a rebel kid or three sneaking out of to smoke. There's even a scrap of wood intended to stop the door from closing.... though he supposes Lion probably has a key for everything.]

That demon!
[It smashes just as she notices Lion's there and freezes.]
no subject
Shall I lock the door?
[Look, he gets destructive urges]
