There's still sound and chatter, of course, but compared to where you've been spending all your time until now. Welcome to Superbia. And make yourself comfortable... because now that you've arrived, the stairs that guided you down here have disappeared and you won't be leaving any time soon. Feel free to use this arrival log to chronicle your initial misadventures in the Pride Layer of Purgatory. Storage Rooms

So by this point, Varian's been given the rundown on the whole Executor business, probably has his cool weapon and everything (once I decide on it for sure but lbr it's probably a gun), but that doesn't mean he isn't still b o r e d with the too-easy curriculum he's undertaking at this school. So! It's time to see if he can snoop into areas that students probably aren't really supposed to be looking into unsupervised.

But Varian is smart. He's not just going to go waltzing into the storage rooms. He might inform a teacher they're out of x or y supply and ask if he can go fetch it because he's a good boy who does good boy things, and if he's potentially caught he'd give the same kind of excuse. So, he'll see how far that happens to get him.

Anything unusual to note in here? Or has all of this subterfuge been a waste of his time?

I'd love to tell you he did all this for nothing but he does find some things that are potentially?? Interesting??

At the very back of the store room, he'll find a bunch of junk from school events that's been haphazardly stored back here. Stalls, bunting, advertisement balloons, that sort of thing. Typical school event stuff. Some of it seems pretty busted up, though it's unclear if that's just general wear and tear or how they'd been stored.

It's hard to identify exactly what events they were for, but they seem to be from events that usually take place later in the school year.

I can't believe I wholeass had to look up what bunting was-

But huh! Weird! Amber has no real frame of reference for any of this stuff, or what it could have been used for...but man it really looks like it's been banged around. He wants to assume it's from wear and tear because you'd really have to just throw everything as hard as you can in here for it to sustain damage like that from bad storage practices. He thinks.

He's of course going to dig through this stuff a little, pushing it aside and working his way through each section to see if there's anything more than this stuff here.

On closer inspection, he'll be able to see that some of this stuff is from a graduation ceremony and that the junk associated with said ceremony seems to be the most busted up. Like, 'a car drove through this' levels of busted up.

Well somebody wasn't happy about graduating.

Amber will give this stuff in particular some closer examining. Is there anything on these things to identify what year was graduating? Anything about the class, or even the school itself?

Dates and times are a bit fucky-wucky in Purgatory, but the graduating class seems to be this year's class.

That seems awfully suspicious. It's information that Amber is just going to store away in his little brain for later. So it's probably safe to assume that not only does somebody out there hate graduation, but they never intend to allow a graduation to even happen.

Cool! Cool. You're here forever, etc.

Anyway, is there anything else in here other than beat up festival supplies and even MORE beat up graduation stuff?

Nothing overly sus jumps out at him for the moment! That doesn't necessarily mean there's nothing, just that he doesn't have enough information to determine right now what's important and what isn't.
