Training Log 01: Shiny new powers

It's been a day- or something similar to it. After all, time seemed to be a weak thing here. But it's long enough that the pounding in his head from the attack under the Founation is... manageable. His ribs still ache, but he's not going to let that stop him- if Rei needed them to fight, then he would fight. Especially since he now remembered HOW to fight- a weak memory that came with a few other things. Like that fact that he might be royalty(?), but more useful was his skills with a weapon.

So he goes hunting for a big open area- and every other Executor he sees he mentions his intention: to train and test out these new powers. Eventually he finds what he's looking for: what probably was supposed to be a park, though it was slightly twisted like everything else here. But it was open enough that he probably wouldn't hit any non-combatants. A quick switch to his Executor uniform, massive black armor with a fur lined cloak, and he spins his bone spear like an expert.

How strange to have this knowledge but almost no context. Well, it is what it is. He wonders if any of the others will join him?

[Yesss, engagement in her wild scientific theories, her favorite thing. Well, one of her favorite things. It's definitely in the top ten.]

It might explain why we regained memories at the same time as we gained powers, too- if they're linked to our identities, they'd go hand in hand. [She casually stores the knife and the sample away in some of her various pockets, the other contents of which are probably best not examined.] But then there's the question of our limits. Are those linked, too?

I've definitely confirmed I can't heal myself, so there's at least some limit involved! [...that sure is a lot of band-aids on her hand, which Lion may have noticed. Those weren't there yesterday.]

[Like any good mad scientist, the first test subject is always herself.]

Or the weapons, do they have a symbolic meaning? I'm not good at symbolism...

I can't say if I'm any good with it either, but-

[He steps back a little and summons his weapon ]

I don't need to be a genius to know it seems... unpleasant to look at.

Oh! [She peers very closely at the weapon, not seeming unsettled by it at all. Instead, she seems drawn to the "blade" portion, zeroing in on one thing:] Is it... bone? It looks almost like some extended metacarpals, or maybe something like the kind of phalanges you'd see in a cetacean fin, or- [Yeah she's just babbling excitedly a mile a minute now, there may be no stopping her.]

[The gist of it seems to be "I think your spear looks like somebody made it out of the hand parts of something and I think that's neat", though.]

Bone is what I thought too. Though it almost feels like stone as well. Yet when I use it it still cuts somehow.

The edges do look sharpened... is that enough on its' own, maybe? Or could it be part of your powers?

[They do have some pretty weird weapons here... her own including, judging by the fact that she's carrying around a massive pair of surgical scissors.]

Bone and stone... maybe it's fossilized?
