With Esme's iron-fisted reign brought to an end and the Executors given time to take a very well-earned break, it finally comes down to descend to the next layer of Purgatory. Thankfully, with this being the group as a whole's second descent, things are a little less nerve-wracking this time around... maybe. Hopefully. ... Probably. Welcome to Avaritia. Splendid. Now, you'll have to tell me if you've any recollection of spirits you enjoy. Apparently I'm rather fond of red wine, but a container that size might be a touch overdoing it. [Like it's not too much with anything else???

Actually, is there any good reason for a good bit of drink if one does not feel its effects? [counterpoint: do you think that stopped ardyn before] Given we are dead. Ugh, here I am, talking myself out of it...

I only drank socially a few times- I lost my sense of taste when I was too young to drink. I do remember liking the scent of wine though...

I haven't drank since I 'woke up' here- does it not affect us? We still eat...

[He waggles a hand.] Perception, habit, impulse, semantics. [And an underlying feeling that he himself might perhaps have not had much need in life, buuuuuuut that's a different thing altogether!]

I suppose they go together--what's the point of it tasting good if it won't also help you relax, versus what's the point of getting pissed if it doesn't taste good to do so.

Hm. Still. We can share an absurdly sized goblet of drink in a social manner.
