It's Vegas, baby! Oh wait, I already made that joke on the location page... With Esme's iron-fisted reign brought to an end and the Executors given time to take a very well-earned break, it finally comes down to descend to the next layer of Purgatory. Thankfully, with this being the group as a whole's second descent, things are a little less nerve-wracking this time around... maybe. Hopefully. ... Probably. Welcome to Avaritia. Feel free to use this arrival log to chronicle your initial misadventures in the Greed Layer of Purgatory. [Mmmmmkay just gonna whip out the phone and snap photos of the letters. So maybe this all is just prerehersed stuff part of the show?? It has to be people with authority of some kind to so blatantly leave these in unlocked doors in an administrative area. Drumming up talk and attendance to draw people from the casinos maybe? Luring the Authority out?

He picks up a letter and, brace yourself, he's going to get dramatic.]

'If these demands are not met, I am afraid to say that my hand will be forced,' blah blah blah, 'terrible calamity will befall' blah blah, goodness, no wonder they needed someone to give them notes.

[Meh, put that away then. Any other interesting bits and bobs in the shelves, the drawers, filing cabinets? Is there a back door that leads elsewhere maybe?]

Don't be mean!! They're doing their best!!! But yeah whoever this thief is, they don't quite have the panache of Erik McBasementdweller. A bit more poking around will reveal some more scripts for this Phantom Weirdo, some notes about lighting, costume design... all sorts of things that make it increasingly clear that whatever is going on with this thief may be an inside job.

Once he's satisfied with his snooping, Chiron will be able to find a door that leads further back into a corridor that seems to lead mostly just to a bunch of dull, dusty file rooms. All except for the door at the very end, which is the only door that's locked.

[Oooooo locked door. Jiggle the handle...rattle it on the hinges...hm he could go back and get help...

Or he could kick it. Does kick work? Because like. He's got a giant fucking scythe he could use to slice it open. But he would prefer to make it way less obvious...

You're no fun.

His powerful leggies do the job, though, and with a few hearty kicks, the door bursts open. Thankfully, there's nobody inside to catch him out and so Chiron can observe at his leisure and note that he appears to have found a dressing room.

It's a little slapdash, presumably because this room wasn't originally built as a dressing room but it gets the job done. More interesting is the swish black cape that's been draped over the back of the chair at the dressing table.

It's, as the kids say, sus.

[Mmm more photos then. Goodness. Gosh. Oh he is tempted by the cape. Capes don't seem like his thing, just great big swishy coats instead and a thousand scarves, but it's tempting to nab it...

Nah, not his style. He considers if he should be getting back to the others. Hrm.

Without moving anything out of place, is there anything else that stands out as being Hella Sus? Y'know, besides it being an impromptu dressing room for the Specter of the Cirque.]

There's some chips from the casino scattered on the dressing table, as well as some more drafts for letters that have been stuck up around the edge of the mirror, but aside from that nothing hits as being particularly weird.

But yeah, seems he's found enough for now. He could probably just stick around until the Thirst-trap of the Show inevitably steals away back here but that's asking for trouble. The others might be back at their seats by now! (ONEDIRECTIONHAHAHA.MP3) So he'll shut the door and...hope it doesn't fall off or anything and Everything Is Fine he'll go back to the seats and Everything Will Be Fine!]

Me, acting shocked that Chiron would commit a petty act of theft while in the midst of his trespassing.

Thankfully, there's nothing else for him to break and/or steal, so he's free to make his way to the seats and wait for the others! Surely they'll arrive soon!
