[ With the handful of new Executors awakening after the first batch, Rei's starting to get a little bit dithery. They're getting to be a big group now and while she's more than grateful for the help (and the company), she still finds herself worried about the group's cohesion. After all, Lion had admitted that he'd lashed out when he'd first awakened, Kingslayer and Pariah were at each other's throats and Iris wasn't even sure she wanted to be here at all.

Not that Rei could blame her.

But if they're going to be a team, then they at least need to be civil with each other. And getting in a bit of bonding before they have to go down and potentially double-die couldn't hurt.

So Rei borrows one of the hotel suites – a 'luxury' suite, according to the receptionist but to Rei's eyes, it just looks tacky as all get out. But it's big enough for the whole group and after spending an afternoon dragging in all the blankets she can find (and a few mattresses – thank god there aren't any other actual guests here to complain about her pillaging their rooms), Rei makes one final trip to the conbini to get... pretty much everything she can carry. Alcohol is right out (sorry, wine grandpa) but she brings back bulging bags of sodas, sweet drinks of all kinds and pretty much anything that looks made to be chugged. After that comes everything vaguely snack and candy-like in the store and a few things that might not actually be good to eat, and Rei feels confident in saying she's done.

She'd mentioned to a few of the others that she was having a bit of a get together that night, so all she can really do is wait for them to show up. She's in her pajamas, she's looked up sleepover games in the library and snacks, there's a TV mounted on the wall and she has... never held a sleepover before.

This is gonna turn out just fine. ]

[Wolfsbane isn't sure if she's ever been to one of these, but she must have, right? So she walks in, pretending she must know what she's doing, and sets down a bag of moose-flavoured chips on the nearest counter. Good etiquette to bring snacks, even if they're the sort she would probably not willingly eat.]

[A gathering of sorts didn't seem like a terrible idea. Though he didn't exactly expect a strategic meeting by the sound of it, being a little more familiar with the others was a wise tactical move. Fate forbid they not be able to cooperate, after all.]

[So, of course Phoenix showed up--thankfully unaware of how tacky the room might or might not have been, adjusting his visor and listening for whoever else might have been present. He might have been easily mistaken for just sort of lurking, but that probably wasn't intentional.]

Hello, Miss Rei! [Medic is, as always, just happy to be here.]

[She also appears to be carrying... is that a stack of DVDs? Huh.]

I asked the librarians how people watched movies here and they showed me these, so I brought a bunch. I picked ones that looked fun! [...You might want to double-check those. Medic's definition of fun isn't exactly identical to everyone else's.]

[Brainiac was up for this idea when she was told about it! Yay!

However, there may be a couple problems by the time she's shown up that someone may wish to step in on.
First, there was simply the fact that she didn't have pajamas. Or anything besides the clothes she'd shown up in.
Also, she hadn't bathed since becoming an Executor, because she hadn't used the hotel properly even once yet.
And all she'd brought with her was a couple books.

Clearly, an intervention might be called for.]

[Iris wasn't sure about this. She didn't know if she belonged here, for various reasons - most prominent among them that all of these people are strangers. Then again, that's just the thing, isn't it? All of these people ARE strangers - not just to Iris, but to each other. Amnesia makes strangers of us all. It's a level social playing field.

So, she made herself come. The hard part was over, having committed to arriving for the event, but that left the even harder part of interacting with strangers. How do extroverts do it?

While puzzling over how to start a conversation, Iris sits in the corner, munching on some cookies she brought herself. She needs a minute.]

Oh, isn't this room charming.

[He definitely means it. No one has ever claimed wine grandpa has taste.

He seems a little...out of place. Sleepover is fine, just...well, as several people have pointed out to him already, he does seem a bit on the older side. And with so many nice young ladies, well, surely they would not want an older gentleman to do any sleeping around them. Not in the same room, surely!

Still, if all are invited, then arrive he shall. He doesn't...wear anything different or bring anything. Was he supposed to??? Seems like there are plenty of drinks and snacks, so...he'll do some partaking of those. Chat with those who don't object to him being here. Play games, if invited? It just...feels kind of weird to be here. Happy to be here, sure, just odd.]

At least it's a nice room. I've got to wonder, though, why a sleepover?

Oh! Wolfsbane, right? [She was kind of aggro last time they talked, but she doesn't seem like a bad person...]

I don't know if there's a special reason for it, but things like this can be fun, I guess...

I suppose. I can't say whether or not I've had one before, but it hardly seems the usual sort of war room.

The fact that you smell like a back alley. You do know there's a bathhouse in town, right? And showers?

War room...? Is that what this is supposed to be...?

Well, if we get any strategy done at this meeting. Overall, though, it would seem some if not all are more interested in all this bonding business. I'll admit it sounds fun, but...

I've been training ever since we got here. I'd like to at least know when we're deemed strong enough to take that thing under the city. It just feels like there ought to be something I'm working towards, and that feeling that something is wrong here adds to that.

I think red would be better, but the pink is nice, too! [Things Medic is figuring out about herself: her favorite color is red, apparently.]

I guess pink is kind of just light red, if you think about it. ["Pastel red", says a brief flicker in her mind, but it's gone before she can pin it down.] ...or maybe it isn't? I don't remember anything about color theory.

...Yeah, I kind of feel like that too... Like, there has to be a reason I got a chance to be an Executor...

[This got pretty real for a sleepover.]

I guess... it doesn't really make sense to me for it to just be random...

[I dunno, my childhood sleepovers usually had a Ouija board session or reading circle of someone's mom's Chicken Soup for the Soul followed by discussing the meaning of life. Then again, we would follow that up by watching Dude, Where's My Car.]

It makes as much sense as anything. If we were selected for a reason, then we must be able to fulfill that.

[It's a little bit after people start showing up that Lion arrives. Or reaches the door and awkwardly 'knocks' with his foot until someone opens it for him.

Once someone does it's clear he has two folded mattresses, one on each shoulder.]

I have the last two mattresses, Lady Rei!

[He hauls them to a corner so people can make more sleeping space. Once he's done he mingles around, and even sits to be a warm body for any games or makeovers anyone wants to do.

Oddly though, when it's time to sleep he... manifests the cape from his Executor uniform and just... curls up in it against a wall.]

At the same time, though... I think it's okay to just have fun, sometimes, too...

...well, I suppose. As long as Medic doesn't force us to watch that rubbish she brought in. None of those titles look the least bit entertaining.

Well, yeah! Quite a bit, actually.

The whole Executor powers and light blasts thing is pretty neat stuff. Also it's also a change of clothes somehow, not sure how that works.

But doing that here seems... Kinda off? I dunno.
