Training Log 01: Shiny new powers
It's been a day- or something similar to it. After all, time seemed to be a weak thing here. But it's long enough that the pounding in his head from the attack under the Founation is... manageable. His ribs still ache, but he's not going to let that stop him- if Rei needed them to fight, then he would fight. Especially since he now remembered HOW to fight- a weak memory that came with a few other things. Like that fact that he might be royalty(?), but more useful was his skills with a weapon.
So he goes hunting for a big open area- and every other Executor he sees he mentions his intention: to train and test out these new powers. Eventually he finds what he's looking for: what probably was supposed to be a park, though it was slightly twisted like everything else here. But it was open enough that he probably wouldn't hit any non-combatants. A quick switch to his Executor uniform, massive black armor with a fur lined cloak, and he spins his bone spear like an expert.
How strange to have this knowledge but almost no context. Well, it is what it is. He wonders if any of the others will join him?
((ooc: feel free to tag amoung yourselves as well!))

[It makes sense, conceptually. Honestly it's even pretty cool, with a lot of potential uses and advantages. But the way she has to activate her power...it's going to take some getting used to, that's for certain.]
[Pariah takes a deep breath, steeling herself, then flips her grip on the handles to put herself between the blades. With a white-knuckled grip, she counts down in her head before--]
[SNIP]
[Orange and White both blink, startled despite knowing what to expect, and look over at each other.]
...yup.
This is weird.
i'm so sorry for them

What the hell?!
no subject
Which means I don't have to hold back!
[If they share vision, that means that trying to surprise one will have to mean surprising the other too. Which might be hard, but hey, Kingslayer's probably fought worse.
Probably.
They raise their sword up high to bring it down in a flashy, smashy slash at Orange in full view of White... and goes for an outside leg sweep while both of their eyes are on the immediate danger.]
shit i'm forgetting my formatting already
[And no more time for banter because KS has no damn chill. As expected, both of them look up and start to dodge to either side, but that leg sweep knocks them both down onto their faces with a loud grunt.]

Twitches their leg ever-so-slightly, telegraphing an axe-kick-
And then plunges their blade into the clone anyways.]

[Before Kingslayer can fully recover from their strike, Pariah yells and lunges in, thrusting with her scissors to knock their helmet off or askew or--okay yeah she's just mad as hell okay?]

[While Kingslayer is busy chuckling to themself, Pariah's scissors collide directly with their helmet, knocking it off and sending it tumbling away, clattering across the ground.
Revealing absolutely nothing underneath.
They just stand there for a second, stunned. Then, forearm shaking, Kingslayer passes their gauntlet through the empty space where their head should be.
Another second of silence.
Then, they screech,]

White does remind them of something, though; distant and uncertain and vague. After a moment's consideration, they stand next to White and sort of...compare the sheen of their own cloak to Pariah's hue, tilting their head back and forth a little.
Same...hat? Not really. But they seem to find the point of connection at least somewhat pleasing. ]

[Hey Seal, what's up. Both Orange and White look up at them, then back to eachother and giggle.]
I guess we half-match, huh? You look pretty sharp, yourself.
no subject
Weapon twins!
[Oh God.]
[Yep, that. That sure is Medic, all right.]
[Standing on the other side of the field, shouting excitedly and holding a giant goddamn pair of surgical scissors.]
[Because she absolutely has the demeanor of someone who should be given sharp objects unsupervised.]
no subject
[And stare.]
[And look, quite frankly, disgusted.]
No!!

[She moves closer, taking another look at Pariah's scissors.]
I don't think they're the same kind of scissors at all, though. Mine are definitely medical equipment! Yours are... hmm, maybe for sewing? They look really stylish!
no subject
Wait, why would scissors be medical equipment? Isn't it supposed to be scalpels for that stuff?
no subject
Just look- [She holds up her scissors by way of demonstration.] -this is a shearing edge, for removing excess matter entirely. A scalpel is a cutting edge, for making precision incisions that you might want to sew back up later.

Okay, okay!
Serve me right for not being a doctor, JEEZ.

[ She's glancing between both Cassidies, obviously unsure of who to address. ]
no subject
No, not at all! I mean I was kind of worried it would, but...
I guess the magic starts as soon as I decide I'm doing it?
[Seems like both 'halves' are equally aware, so that's...something??]
no subject
This is going to be really disorienting.
[ SPOOKY... ]
I'm guessing it's something you already felt you could do before you tried it?
I LOST THE NOTIF FOR THIS,
Yeah, pretty much. I remembered something when we made that pact...
I think I had an ability like this when I was alive. The memory was a dream, but I know it affected me when I woke up, too.
no subject
That's... good, I suppose. It means you'll have a better idea of what you're doing when we go down there. Do you also remember anything about fighting like that?
no subject
Sort of?
I get a feeling like I should know how to fight, but...I mean, I haven't really tried yet.
